IntuView is an innovative software company, dedicated to development of "artificial intuition" software
for real-time analysis of
unstructured text in domains relating to Homeland Security and
Counter-Terrorism and semantic analysis of data carrying implicit culture-dependent information.
IntuView's core technology –
IntuScan™ - offers a unique platform for coping
with the challenge of vast amounts of documents collected in from various sources
(e.g.
counter-terrorism (CT) operations,
websites,
blogs),
most of which are never processed for the life-saving information they may contain.
IntuScan™ Entity Matcher identifies, disambiguates and matches names of persons,
places, institutions, etc. from data sources, and links them to contextual
information for further identification. Using algorithms based on knowledge of patterns
and conventions of pertinent source languages and cultures, it recognizes possible
name variants, matches names from different inputs and sources and extracts
information from the contexts in which names appear, creating a virtual “identity
card” of the entity behind that name. The information gleaned from different occurrences
of the entity – even under variant names -is aggregated into an comprehensive database
entry of the entity for future reference.
The
IntuScan™ Entity Matcher can
also be applied on
structured data of named entities such as watch lists to validate
the data in such lists, merge duplicates, warn about the occurence of invalid entries
which impair the integrity of the data base and render it cumbersome and ineffective.
IntuView products are serving the counter-terrorism community in the US (Military, Homeland Security), the UK
(Police) and other countries. We are also operating in the Middle East, Asia and other areas.
The processing of the documents includes:
- Triage, categorization and prioritization of the examined material according to relevancy and urgency for the user.
- Identification of the authorship and date of writing.
- Detection of topics and events discussed in the text.
- Recognition of political and ideological leanings.
- Extraction of entities and contextual information about them.
- Exegesis of the hermeneutics of religious, cultural or just professional or domain-specific allusions implicit within the text.
- Structured presentation of the information in textual summaries or data-base formats.
The IntuView vision is to
revolutionize knowledge mining and
cross-language extraction of information by replacing current technology of language-dependent, generic lexical searches with language-independent, domain-oriented "idea mining". The IntuView technology will provide the
knowledge consumer with summaries in his own language of information gleaned from a broad spectrum of sources in different languages.
This is achieved by opening the
IntuScan™ technology to non-security domains through creation
of a platform for multi-lingual meaning extraction from a wide range of topical domains.
The
IntuScan™ Platform is integrated into web crawlers, which search the web and produce not mere "hits" of documents but real summaries of prominent documents, highlighting of innovations and statistics on areas of focus in various communities.
